As an RBCU member, you also have a responsibility to safeguard your financial information.

It is very important that you guard your personal information, particularly account and Personal Identification Numbers (PINs). Such information should be provided only for legitimate transactions with companies well known to you.

To ensure that you can rely upon the quality of products and services we make available, we stand behind the following privacy policy: 

RBCU will collect only the personal information necessary to conduct business.   

That means only what is necessary to provide our financial products and services – no more. We collect nonpublic information about you from:  

• Information on applications and other forms that you have completed.
• Information about transactions with us, our affiliates, or others.
• Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies when applicable.

RBCU will protect your personal information.   

We restrict information to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products and services to you. We will maintain strong security controls to ensure that member information in files and computers is protected. Where appropriate, we will use security coding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to personal records, ensure accuracy and integrity of communications and transactions, and protect member confidentiality.

RBCU will only share information when absolutely necessary.   

We will only share information to administer the products and services we provide, when required to do so by the government, legal action, or when we partner with other businesses to offer a broader array of products and services.

~ Important Information about Credit Reporting ~

We may report information about your account to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report.

RBCU will partner only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. 

Businesses will be selected only when they offer products designed to enhance our members’ economic well being and after we have reviewed their privacy policy. Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge your account without your express consent. We will not sell member information to telemarketing firms.

General Web site information
Visitors to RBCU’s website remain anonymous. We do not collect personal identifying information about visitors to our website. Our site does collect standard nonidentifying information about visits to our site, such as date and time visited. This information is used to compile statistics on site usage. If a member accesses the RBCU Online Banking,
personal information may be collected but this information remains at RBCU. RBCU
does not sell member data to third parties, whether it is gained online or already exists on the host system.

E-Mail
Personal information gathered from e-mail sent by website visitors may be used by the credit union’s staff to answer questions, follow-up on suggestions or to provide a product or service. This information is never sold, given, or disclosed to third parties. You should never send confidential information such as account numbers, credit card numbers or requests for financial transactions via e-mail to the credit union.
